WhAT IS AN ELIC PCB?

ELIC refers to a high-density PCB design, also known as arbitrary layer HDI. All signal layers and the internal ground plane of the board are aligned in such a way that direct component and signal routing can be done between two points in the design without the need to make connections to route through one or more additional mechanical layers.

ELIC PCB technology is an enhanced version of the HDMI standard that uses and supports the same video resolution, with HDMI's higher speed for transferring data.

The ELIC design will allow each wiring segment to travel within the PCB's dielectric layer stack or within the external ground layer stack, allowing data transfer rates of up to 10GB/s per channel, about ten times faster than traditional HDMI 2.0.


What is ELIC in PCB?

In the world of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design and manufacturing, "ELIC" often refers to "etched leadless chip carrier." A leadless chip carrier is a surface mount device used in electronic assemblies.
